It was in the early ages of our lives when we met through my mentor and best man (Patrick Maphopha). I was 21 and she was 19 at the time. Patrick’s wife (Dorah) was working with Rachel at Pick ‘n Pay Centurion and I was working as an IT Technician reporting to Patrick. Patrick saw Rachel and thought that she would be an ideal woman for me, and his wife hooked us up. Patrick and Dorah then took us out to Sun City for our first meeting. It was such a special and beautiful day; we connected instantly and started dating. Shortly thereafter, Rachel decided to focus on her studies, and the relationship was short lived. We went our separate ways, but remained good friends over the years . . .

“Deep down I knew that I loved Pule, but I was not ready to embark on a serious relationship. I had so many plans that I wished to accomplish” Says Rachel

. . . . 17 years later, our hearts found each other again, by the Grace of God. It was something that both of us never thought would be possible in our lifetime. When it happened, we knew that God was at work, and “His ways are definitely not our ways”. When we got back together, we acknowledged the cliché that says “True love never dies” which indeed resonates with us. Love was definitely in the air. A year later, we decided to get married, and five years down the line, here we are. We are quite excited to finally have a Wedding Celebration to honour our parents’ wish. God being the foundation of this marriage, we trust and have faith that He will continue to guide us through this journey. We are so grateful for His Love and Grace throughout the years.
